Recently, Entrecard has made a BIG announcement. It will be co-launching an Ad Network and a Credit Cashout Service.

Ad Network
It will open as much as 50% of its ad impressions to third party advertisers. It will be accepting cash payments to run 125×125 advertisements through their widget network. When you purchase an ad, you are now a minimum of 50% instead of 100%. You will still get 100% of the impressions, if there is no ad booked for that category, or for the network, for any given day.

Credit Cashout Service
With the money made by the Ad Network, it will purchase your credits from you, and delete them from the system. This means that you can sell credits for cash, right from your dashboard!

If your blog are registered with Entrecard,
Your Entrecard's widget must follows the one page-down rule - no matter what your screen resolution is, you are required to place the widget within one page-down of your computer screen.

Finally, members are able to make some pocket money (cash out rate?) by selling ECs. But is this for better or for worse? I hope for the BEST.

This is going to be great to get some income out of entrecard. There still is alot of sites those that are still not following the "one page down rule". When is this going to be enforced?

This is going to make things a lot more interesting on Entrecard. I am interested to see what it is going to do to the prices on the market - if there is a cash value it will 100% change things.

Thanks for the comments.
Currently, there are 2 camps - one looking forward to the changes, the other believe that Entrecard will fail badly after the changes.

Personally, I must agree that Entrecard need to change to bring in some revenue and profit in order to survive. That is a fact.

I'm really interested in this cash out system they have setup. I haven't even logged into thier website for quite some time because everything seemed stale. Maybe this will give it new life.
