Singapore Banks continue to surge

pass their recent highs in anticipate a few interest rate hikes in 2022. Err.. maybe OCBC still lagging a bit.

After http://ainvestor.blogspot.com/2021/11/continue-to-show-signs-of-bottoming-for.html, could I say this may be reversal of China tech stocks after Alibaba shows a double bottom in its chart. Remind myself that time in market is more important than timing the market :)

I would continue to sell options (in both US and HK markets) to reduce the average prices of my stocks.

Reduced DBS @ $33.42.
Added SGX @ $9.35.
Added Mapletree Log Tr @ $1.75.
Added Ascendas Reit @ $2.88.

Good news for small Interaction Brokers account holders

like me. From 1st July 2021 onwards, Interactive Brokers have eliminated the monthly account inactivity fees. Extracted from the email:

Effective July 1, 2021, you will no longer be charged USD 10 for not maintaining a minimum balance or transaction activity for account U****8095. This change will be reflected in your August 2021 account statement.

This is a significant change for most of the retail investors and traders. Officially, Interactive Brokers are now even cheaper than Tiger Brokers and Moomoo for trading US shares and options. In addition, I am also using the Fractional Trading feature in Interactive Brokers to buy US shares. If you are interested to sign up a Interactive Brokers account, and do not have a referral link from your friends, please use mine here.

Divested some DBS @ $30.85.
Added Capitaland China Tr @ $1.37.
Added IReit Global @ $0.635.
Added Alibaba @ US$205.
Bought Palantir @ US$24 (via short put options).

My oversea portfolio sink into red

while local portfolio continues to outperform.

CapitaLand has decided to privatize its development arm and consolidate its investment management and lodging platforms into CapitaLand Investment Management (CLIM). The implied consideration price for shareholders is attractive, at a significant 24-28% premium to its last Friday closing price of $3.31, with CapitaLand shareholders expected to receive an implied consideration of S$4.102 for every CapitaLand share.

Thus, I cannot control my itchy finger, and decided to add some CapitaLand when its share price retreats to $3.70.

Added CapitaLand @ $3.70.
Added CapitaLand China Tr @ $1.36.
Added KWEB @ US$80.05.
Added Alibaba @ US$230.41.
Sold some DBS @ $28.55.

I have also registered a Moomoo account, deposit of at least $2700, and made 3 trading transactions. With these 3 simple steps, I have gotten $30 stock voucher and ONE AAPL share for FREE!!

If you are interested to sign up a Moomoo account, and do not have a referral link from your friends, please use mine: https://j.moomoo.com/004Sla

Thanks :)

1 more trading day

for month of November, and my portfolio looks good to enter profit even without including dividend. Technically, STI is doing a back test at ~2830 after a furious surge for the past 3 weeks with only 3 red candles.

I have divested some DBS @ $24.89 and added KWEB @ US$75.71. I am looking for buy opportunities into some new REITs.

STI ranged between 2825 and 2920.

While Dow & Nasdaq continue

to correct, I would treat it as an opportunity to accumulate both ASHR and KWEB ETF for long term investment.

Made the following purchase via Tiger Brokers. For the 3 local purchases, I am paying $9 fee instead of $85 if I am still using my previous trading platform. If 100 trades, that would mean saving of about $2500. Saving $ makes me a happier man :)

  • DBS @ $19.71
  • STI ETF @ $2.483
  • SGX @ $8.81
  • ASHR @ US$34.86
STI ranged between 2448 and 2515.

Saturday, August 8, 2020

STI plunged below 2500

and recovered.

Nibbled on the following shares:

  • Jardine C&C @ $19.01
  • STI ETF @ $2.553
  • SGX @ $8.61
  • ASHR @ US$24.05
Managed to divest some DBS @ $20.43.

STI ranged between 2478 and 2566.

  • DBS @ $19.62
  • OCBC @ $8.67
  • UOB @ $19.65
  • ASHR @ US$33.78

  • SGX @ $8.13
  • ST Eng @ $3.26
STI ranged between 2511 and 2603.

Saturday, July 25, 2020
